AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5.802 OF ARTICLE VIII - ELECTRICAL COMMISSION OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT NOW, THEREFO R8, BE IT 0 RDAINED by the Pres ident and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois: Section 1. That Section 5.802 of Article VIII of the Municipal Code of the Village of Mount Prospect is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 5.802. Members Appointed. The said Electrical Commission shall consist of six (6) members as follows: The Superintendent of Electricity or the Chief Electrical Inspector of the Village shall be a member and ex-officio Chairman of the Commission; of the other five members, one shall be a registered prOfessional electrical engineer, one an electrical contractor, one a journeyman electrician, one a representative of an inspec- tion bureau maintained by the Fire Underwriters, if such a rep- resentative resides in the Village, and if no such representative resides in the Village, then the Chief of the Fire Department, and one a representative of an electricity supply company. If there is no person residing in the Village of Mount Prospect who is qualified under anyone of these descriptions, some other person may be appointed to fill the pos ition. All members of the Electrical Commission shall be appointed by the Village President with the advise and consent of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect. The term of all members of the Commission shall be four (4) years. All vacancies occurring in the case of appointed members of such commission shall be filled by appointment for the remainder of the unexpired term in the same manner as the original appointments. All members and officers of said Commission shall serve without compensation." Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
