HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 961 03/03/1964 ORDINANCE NO. 9'1& I . AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING PROPERTY REFERRED TO AS tlCOLONIAL HEI GHTS It TO THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT. WHEREAS, a written petition has been filed with the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect by Colonial Heights, Inc., an Illinois corporation, being the sole owner of record of the hereinafter described land and territory, for annexation to the Village of Mount Prospect; and WHEREAS, said land and territory is not within the corporate limits of any municipality but is contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect, is uninhabited and has no electors residing thereon; and WHEREAS, said petition is under oath and in all respects complies with the requirements of the statutes in such case made and provided; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect have examined said petition, have considered the question of annexation of the territory described therein, and believe it to be to the best interests of the municipality that such territory be in fact annexed thereto, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois: Section 1: That all lands and territories describeu in said petition, to wit: That part of lots 2 and 7 (taken as a tract) in Owner's Division, a subdivision of the southeast }1j (except the west ~ of the southwest ~ thereof) of Section 10, Township 41 North, Range 11 East of the 3rd. Principal Meridian, which lies northerly of the northerly line of Estates Drive as dedicated September 14th. A. D. 1962 as Document No. 2055414 and which lies south of a line 2035.76 feet north of and parallel to the south line of said lot 7 and which lies westerly of the westerly line of Crestwood Lane as per plat of Colonial Heights as registered in the office of the Registrar of Titles of Cook County, Illinois on May 27th, 1960 as Document No. 19.23990 and which lies westerly of the westerly line of Crestwood Lane as per plat of Colonial Heights 1st. Addition as registered in the office of the Registrar of Titles of Cook County, Illinois on May 16th. 1961 as Document No. 1977989; -also- The East ~ of that part of Lot 1 lying north of the south 5 acres of said Lot 1 in Meier Brothers Sub- division of parts of Section 10 and 15 in Township 41 North, Range 11 Ea~t of the 3rd. Principal Meridian; all of the above in Cook County, Illinois. which territory is contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect, is not within the limits of any municipality, contains no electors and is not presently in any incorporated municipality, be and the same is hereby annexed to the Village of Mount Prospect so that hereafter said territory shall be included within the boundary lines and limits of said Village, as is by law in such case made and provided. Section 2. That the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect is hereby directed to record a certified copy of this ordinance together with an accurate plat of said terri- tory wi th the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois.
