ORDINANCE NO. 986
AN ORDINANCE RESTRICTING THE USE OF SOUND AMPLIFIERS AND
LOUD SPEAKERS - AMENDING PORTIONS OF SECTION 24.805 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois:
Section 1. That the first paragraph of Section 24.805 of the Municipal
Code of the Village of 110unt Prospect be and is hereby amended to read as
follows:
"Section 24.805 RESTRICTIONS. No licensee shall use or
operate or employ any such device within the Village limits on
Sunday or after the hours of 8 o'clock P.M. prevailing time of
any day, or before the hour of 8 o'clock A.M. prevailinr time
of any day; no licensee shall use, operate or employ any such
device within a radius of sixteen hundred (1,600) feet from any
hospital, church while funeral services are beins held, or within
one thousand (1,000) feet from any property used or zoned for any
residential purpose under the Mount Prospect Zoning Ordinance."
Section 2. This ordinance shall he in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval and publication according to law.
