Ii Iii NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois:

ORDINANCE NO. 987
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING DUMPING IN HELLER CREEK AND OTHEP
PUBLIC PLACES
Section 1. That Chapter 24 of the Municipal Code of the Village of
Mount Prospect be and is hereby amended by adding thereto the following:
"ARTICLE IX DUt1PING IN HELLER CREEK AND OTHER PLACES.
Section 24.901. It shall be unlawful for any person, in person
or by his agent, employee or a servant to cast, throw, sweep, sift
or deposit in any manner, in or upon any public-way or a public place
in the Village of Mount Prospect, or in or upon the waters and/or
channel area of Heller Creek or any canal, drain, sewer, or receiving
basin within the jurisdiction of said Village, any kind of dirt,
rubbish, waste article, thing or substance whatsoever, whether liquid
or solid; nor shall any person cast, throw,sweep, sift or deposit
any of the aforementioned items anywhere within the jurisdiction of
the Village in such manner that it may be carried or deposited in
whole or in part by the action of the sun, wind, rain, or snow, in
any of the aforementioned places.
Section 24.902. Any person, firm or corporation violating any
provision of this Article shall be fined not less than Five ($5.00)
Dollars nor more than Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars for each offense.
A separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during or on
which a violation occurs."
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval and publication according to law.
