ORDINANCE NO. 974
AN ORDINANCE RENAMING CEDAR DRIVE TO CHESTNUT DRIVE:
SYCAMORE LANE TO COTTONWOOD LANE: ELDER LANE TO
CATALPA LANE: AND A PART OF ELMHURST ROAD TO ELMHURST
AVENUE IN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT.
NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect. Cook County, Illinois:
Section 1. That the names of the following streets be changed in
pursuance to the authority granted to the Village by Section 11-80-19 of
Chapter 24 of the Illinois Revised Statutes, as follows:
(a) "Cedar Drive" in Elk Ridge Villa be changed
to "Chestnut Drive".
(b) "Sycamore Lane" in Elk Ridge Villa to be
changed to "Cottonwood Lane".
(c) "Elder Lane" in Elk Ridge Villa to be
changed to "Catalpa Lane".
(d) "Elmhurst Road" between Golf Road and Lincoln
Street to be changed to "Elmhurst Avenue".
Section 2. That the Street Department of the Village is hereby
ordered and directed to replace existing signs in accordance with the intent
of this ordinance and that hereafter all Village maps and plans and other
official acts shall refer to "Cedar Drive" in Elk Ridge Villa as "Chestnut
Drive". "Sycamore Lane" in Elk Ridge Villa as "Cottonwood Lane". "Elder
Lane" in Elk Ridge Villa as "Catalpa Lane" and "Elmhurst Road" between Golf
Road and Lincoln Street as "Elmhurst Avenue".
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage. approval and publication according to law.
PASSED and APPROVED this 24th day of March, 1964.
