ORDINANCE No. 1017
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING 2.64 ACRES OF PROPERTY ON
THE SOUTH SIDE OF GOLF ROAD TO THE VILLAGE OF
HOUNT PROSPECT
WHEREAS, property ~egally described as follows: Lots 1
and 2 and the South 100 feet~of Lot 3 and all of Lot 8 in Juhnke's
Subdivision of that part of the East 854.70 feet of the northeast
1/4 of Section 14, Township 41 North, Range 11 East of the Third
Principal Meridian lying south of the center of Golf Road together
with the 50 feet lying north of and adjoininr said Lots 1, 2 and 8,
in Cook County, Illinois, is within the unincorporated territory of
Cook County, and Dot within any municipality and is less than sixty
(60) acres in area; and

WHEREAS, said land and territory is both contiguous and
wholly bounded by the Village of Mount Prospect; and

WHEREAS, the Statutes of the State of Illinois, and particu-~
larly Section 7-1-13 of Chapter 24 thereof (Illinois Revised Statutes
1963) provides for the annexation of said territorv upon the passage
of an ordinance by the Village; and

WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Mount Prospect, Cook County, find and believe it to be to the best
interest of said Village that the aforedescribed land and territory be
annexed thereto;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINfD by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois:
Section 1. That all land and territory lep,allv described as
follows, to-wit:
Lots 1 and 2 and the south 100 feet of Lot 3 and all of Lot
8 in Juhnke's Subdivision of that part of the East 854.70
feet of the northeast 1/4 of Section 14, Township 41 North,

which territory is contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect and is
wholly bounded by the Village of Mount Prospect and is net presentlv
in any incorporated municipalitv but is in the unincorporated territory
of Cook County and whereas said territory is less than sixty (60) acres
in size, be and the same is hereby annexed to the Village of Mount Pros-
pect so that hereafter said territory shall be included within the boun-
dary lines and limits of said Village, as is by law in such case made ane
provided.
Section 2. That the Villape Clerk of the Village of Mount
Prospect is hereby directed to record a certified copy of this ordinance
together with an accurate plat of said territory with the Recorder of
Deeds of Cook County, Illinois.
Section 3. That this ordlnance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
