HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 1018 01/19/1965 19 363 BBl ORDINANCE No. 1018 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXIllG .379 ACRE or PROPERTY ON THE NORTH SInE OF GOLF ROAD AND LYING EAST OF WAPELLA AVENUE TO THE VILLAGE or MOUNT PROSPECT. WHEREAS, property legally described as follows: The east 33 feet of that part of the northeast 1/4 of Section 14, Townshio 41 north, Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows: Commencing at a point in the center line of Seegars Road that is 1173.58 feet, as measured on the center of said road, west of the east line of said section; thence west along the center line of said road 455.35 feet to a point in the line that is 305.08 feet west of the west line of the east 1/2 of the northeast 1/4 of said Section 14, as measured on the north and south line of said north- east 1/4; thence north along said line 500 feet; thence east parallel to the center line of said road a distance of 445.82 feet; thence South 499.83 feet to the place of beginning, in Cook County, Illinois, is vJithin the unincorporated territory of Cook County, and not within any municipality and is less than sixty (60) acres in area; and WHEREAS, said land and territory is both contiguous and wholly bounded by the Village of Mount Prospect; and WHEREAS, the Statutes of the State of Illinois, and particu- larly Section 7-1-13 of Chapter 24 thereof (Illinois Revised Statutes 1963) provides for the annexation of said territory upon the passage of ~n ordinance by the Village; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, find and believe it to be to the best interest of said Village that the aforedescribed land and territory be annexed thereto; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois: Section 1. I I I I I i I ;1 I ,I ,I I' I II II !' , ! i II II II I I i 1 ~ I II ~ I I III 'I II II II I i I I Which territory is contiguous to the Village of Mount Prosoect and is wholly bounded by the Village of Mount Prospect and is not presently in any incorporated municipality but is in the unincorporated territory of Cook County and whereas said territory is less than sixty (60) acres in size, be and the same is hereby annexed to the Village of Mount Prospect so that hereafter said territory shall be included within the boundary lines and limits of said Village, as is by law in such case made and provided. Section 2. That the Village Clerk of the Villap,e of Mount Prospect is hereby directed to record a certified copy of this ordi- nance together with an accurate plat of said territory with the Record- er of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois. Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law. PASSED this 19 day of January, 1965. APPROVED this 19 day of January, 1965.
