ORDINANCE No. 1019
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING 5.335 ACRES OF PROPERTY
BOUNDED BY WELLER CREEK, MAIN STRrET, LONNQUIST
BLVD. AND EMERSON STREET TO THE VILLAGE or ~OUNT
PROSPECT
WHEREAS, property legally described as follows: That
part of the southwest 1/4 of Section 12, Township 41 North, Ran~e
11, East of the Third Principal Meridian described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the South line of the southwest 1/4 afore-
said, 1134.88 feet west of the southeast corner of the Southwest
1/4 aforesaid; thence west along the south line of the southwest
1/4 aforesaid, 378.97 feet; thence North along the center line of
Main Street 577.69 feet to the center line of Weller Creek; thence
Northeast along a line which forms an angle of 98 degrees 47 minutes
50 seconds from south to northeast along the center line of Weller
Creek aforesaid, 383.27 feet to the intersection with the center
line of Emerson Street; thence South along the center line of Emer-
son Street 648.8 feet to the point of beginning, in Cook County,
Illinois, is Vlithin the unincorporated territory of Cook County,
and not within any municipality and is less than sixty (60) acres in
area; and
WHEREAS, said land and territory is both contipuous an(
wholly bounded by the Village of Mount Prospect; and

WHEREAS, the Statutes of the State of Illinois, and Dar-
ticularly Section 7-1-13 of Chapter 24 thereof (Illinois Revised
Statutes 1963) provides for the annexation of said territory upon
the passage of an ordinance by the Village; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Vil-
lage of Mount Prospect, Cook County, find and believe it to be to
the best interest of said Village that the aforedescribed land and
territory be annexed thereto;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois:
Section 1. That all land and territory legally described
as follows, to-wit:

41 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian
described as follows: Beginning at a point on the
south line of the southwest 1/4 aforesaid, 1134.88 feet
west of the southeast corner of the southwest 1/4 afore-
said; thence west along the south line of southwest 1/4
aforesaid, 378.97,feet; thence north along the center
line of Main Street 577.69 feet to the center line of

which territory is contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect and
is wholly bounded by the Villare of r10unt Prospect and is not pre-
sently in any incorporated municipality but is in the unincorporated
territory of Cook County and whereas said territory is less than six-
ty (60) acres in size, be and the same is hereby annexed to the Vil-
laEe of Mount Prospect so that hereafter said territory shall be in-
cluded within the boundary lines and limits of said Villape, as is
by law in such case made and provided.
Section 2. That the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount
Prospect is hereby directed to record a certified copy ef this ordi-
nance together with an accurate plat of said territory with the Record-
er of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois.

effect from and after its passage and approval accordinp to law.
