ORDINANCE NO. 1026
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING 1.595 ACRES OF PROPERTY
ON THE EAST SIDE OF SCHOENBECK ROAD AND SUR-
ROUNDED BY OLD ORCHARD COUNTRY CLUB.
WHEREAS, PROPERTY LEGALLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: That part
of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 27, Township 42 North, Range 11
East of the Third Principal Meridian described as follows: Begin-
ning at a point on the West line of said Section 27 that is 859.15
feet South of the Northwest corner thereof; thence South 83 degrees,
34 minutes, 30 seconds East, 246.14 feet; thence South 10 degrees,
00 minutes, 25 seconds East 285.45 feet; thence North 77 degrees,
30 minutes, 30 seconds West (recorded 77 degrees, 55 minutes, 45
seconds), 301.34 feet to a point on the West line of said Section
27. thence North along said West line 243.50 feet to the point of
beginning, all in Cook County, Illinois, is within the unincorporated
territory of Cook County, and not within any municipality and is
less than sixty (60) acres in area; and
WHEREAS, said land and territory is both contiguous and
wholly bounded by the Village of Mount Prospect; and

WHEREAS, the Statutes of the State of Illinois, and part-
icularly Section 7-1-13 of Chapter 24 thereof (Illinois Revised
Statutes 1963) provides for the annexation of said territory upon
the passage of an ordinance by the Village; and

WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Mount Prospect, Cook County, find and belie~e it to be to the
best interest of said Village that the aforedescribed land and ter-
ritory be annexed thereto;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois:
Section 1. That all land and territory legally described
as follows, to-wit:

Which territory is contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect and
is wholly bounded by the Village of Mount Prospect and is not
presently in any incorporated municipality but is the unincorporated
territory of Cook County and whereas said territory is less than
sixty (60) acres in size, be and the same is hereby annexed to the
Village of Mount Prospect so that hereafter said territory shall be
included within the boundary lines and limits of said Village, as is

by law in such case made and provided.
Section 2. That the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount
Prospect is hereby directed to record a certified copy of this
ordinance together with an accurate plat of said territory with the
Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
PASSED this 9 day of February, 1965.
