ORDINANCE No. 1036
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING PROPERTY TO THE VILLAGE or
MOUNT PROSPECT, WHICH PROPERTY IS LOCATED NORTH
OF LONNQUIST BLVD., EXTENDED, AND SOUTH OF COLONIAL
HEIGHTS 2nd ADDITION.
WHEREAS, a written petition has been filed with the Village
Clerk of the Vil-lage of Mount Prospect by Colonial Heights, Inc.,
an Illinois corporation, being the sole owner of record of the
hereinafter described land and territory, for annexation to the
Village of Mount Prospect; and

WHEREAS, said land and territory is not within the corporate
limits of any municipality but is contiguous to the Village of
Mount Prospect, is uninhabited and has no electors residing thereon;
and
WHEREAS, said petition is under oath and in all respects
complies with the requirements of the statutes in such case made
and provided; and
WHEREAS. the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Mount Prospect have examined said petition, have considered the
question of annexation of the territory described therein. and
believe it to be to the best interests of the municipality that
such territory be in fact annexed thereto.

NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect. Cook County. Illinois:
That all lands and territories described in said
Section 1.
petition, to wit:

That part of lots 6 and 7 in Owners Division a
subdivision of the southeast 1/4 (except the west
1/2 of the southwest 1/4 thereof) of Section 10.
Township 41 North, Range 11 East of the 3rd
Principal Meridian which lies south of and adjoining
Colonial Heights 1st Addition as per Document
No. 1977989, lying south of and adjoining Colonial
Heights 2nd Addition as per Document No. 2031225,
lying south of and adjoining Colonial Heights 8th
Addition as per Document No. 2141384. lying west
of and adjoining Hatlen Heights Estates Unit No.1.
as per Document No. 1737769; and lying East of the
following described line, beginning at a point in
the south line of said lot 7 said point being 480.0
feet east of the southwest corner of said lot 7;
Thence north perpendicular to the south line of said
lot 7, 617.0 feet to the southwest corner said
Colonial Heights 8th Addition. in Cook County, Illinois.
which territory is contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect, is
not within the limits of any municipality, contains no electors and
is not presently in any incorporated municipality, be and the same
is hereby annexed to the Village of Mount Prospect so that hereafter
said territory shall be included within the boundary lines and limits
of said Village, as is by law in such case made and provided.
Section 2. That the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount
Prospect is hereby directed to record a certified copy of this
ordinance together with an accurate plat of said territory with
the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval according to
law.

PETITION FOR ANNEXATION
TO THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT:
Your petitioner, Colonial Heights, Inc., an
Illinois corporation, resoectfully represents as follows:
1. That it is the owner of record of all the land
within the following described territory, to wit:
That oart of lots 6 and 7 in Owners Division a
subdivision of the southeast ~ (except the west
~ of the southwest ~ thereof) of Section 10, Town-
ship 41 North, Range 11 East of the 3rd Principal
Meridian which lies south of and adjoining
Colonial Heights 1st. Addition as per Document
No. 1977989, lying south of and adjoining
Colonial Heights 2nd. Addition as oer Document
No. 20312?5, lying south of and adjoining
Colonial Heights 8th. Addition as per Document
No. 2141384, lying west of and adjoining Hatlen
Heights Estates Unit No.1, as per Document No.
1737769; and lying east of the following de-
scribed line, beginning at a point in the south
line of said lot 7 said point being 480.0 feet
east of the southwest corner of said lot 7;
Thence north perpendicular to the south line
of said lot 7, 617.0 feet to the southwest
corner said Colonial Heights 8th Addition, in
Cook County, Illinois.
2. That there are no electors residing within
said territory.
3. That said territory hereinabove described is
not within the corporate limits of any municioality but is
adjacent and contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect,
Cook County, Illinois, a municipality organized and existing
under the laws of the State of Illinois.
4. That it hereby petitions that said territory be
annexed to the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois.

WHEREFORE, the undersigned hereby requests and
petitions that said territory be annexed to the Village of
Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois.
