ORDINANCE NO. 1046
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 23 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT
PROSPECT, ILLINOIS
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook
County, Illinois:
Section 1. That Chapter 23 of the Municipal Code
of the Village of Mount Prospect be and is hereby amended by
adding to said Chapter, Article V as follows:
"ARTICLE V. Water Distribution System
Section 23.501. All water d.i:strib\itlon mains in-
stalled within the Village by subdividers, private
contractors, private utility companies or any other
persons shall conform with the requirements of
Section 23.502.
Section 23.502. All pipe and fittings shall be
capable of withstanding an internal working nres-
sure of 150 pounds per square inch. Pipe shall
be designed for a depth of cover of 5 1/2 feet.
All pipe shall have a modified cement mortar lining
conformine to Federal specifications WW-P-412A and
American Standards Association specifications
A21.4. All rubber gaskets shall be lead tipped.
The pipe and fittinp,s shall conform to American
Standards Association specifications A21.6, Class
22 pipe."
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage and approval
accordinp, to law.
