HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 1065 07/13/1965 ORDINANCE NO. 1065 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A LICENSE FEE AND REGULATIONS FOR THE CONDUCT OF MINIATURE GOLF COURSES, GOLF DRIVING RANGES, AND PAR 3 GOLF COURSES BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT: SECTION ONE: The Municipal Code of the Village of Mount Prospect of 1957, as amended, is hereby further amended by adding to Chapter 11, Amendments, an additional Article IX, the said new Article IX to read as follows: Article IX. Miniature Golf Courses, Golf Driving Ranges, and Par 3 Golf Courses Section 11.901. License Required. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to operate or maintain a miniature golf course, golf driving range, or par 3 golf course without first having ob- tained a license therefor as herein provided. Section 11..902. Fee. The fee for such license shall be $150 per year. I, i Section 11.903. Hours of Operation. No person, firm or cor- poration shall keep open, operate, or use any such miniature golf course, golf driving range, or par 3 golf course between the hours of 12:00 mid- night and 6:00 a.m. Section 11.904. Safety. No person, firm or corporation shall operate or maintain a miniature golf course, golf driving range, or par 3 golf course without erecting fencing that is sufficient in height, mesh size, and construction to prevent golf balls from being driven or thrown upon adjoining property. Section 11.905. Sanitary Regulations. The premises used for a miniature golf course, golf driving range, or par 3 golf course shall be kept in a clean and sanitary condition, and separate washroom facilities are to be provided for men and women. Section 11.906. Gambling. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or coproration to gamble, bet, or permit any form of gambling or betting on any premises used for a miniature golf course, golf driving range, or par 3 golf course. Section 11.907. Penalty. Any person, firm or corporation violating any provisions of this Article shall be fined not less than $5 nor more than $100 for each offense, and a separate offense shall be deemed to have been committed on each day during which or on which a violation occurs or continues. , il ! - 2 - SECTION TWO: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in the manner pro- vided by law.
