CAF/ 3/24/94 ORDINANCE NO. 4634 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL COMPREHENSIVE PLAN OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT FOR THE CLOCKTOWER PLACE DEVELOPMENT WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect have adopted an Official Comprehensive Plan for the Village of Mount Prospect as a guideline for development within the Village; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect have determined that, from time to time, the official Comprehensive Plan of the Village of Mount Prospect should be amended; and WHEREAS, it has been deemed that the best use for a portion of property generally located between Northwest Highway and Central Road and between Pine and VVille Streets would be Multi-Family Residential-Medium Density rather than the current designation of Community Commercial, which property is legally described as follows: Lots 1 and 2 in Clock Tower Place Subdivision in the West Half of Section 12, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois; and WHEREAS, pursuant to 65 ILCS 5/11-12-7 of the Illinois Compiled Statutes, the Plan Commission of the Village of Mount Prospect held a Public Hearing on March 9, 1994, pursuant to proper legal notice being published in the Mount Prospect Herald on February 12, 1994, to consider the proposed change in the Official Comprehensive Plan as specified hereinabove; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees have considered the proposed change in the Official Comprehensive Plan and have determined that the best interests of the Village would be served by amending the Official Comprehensive Plan of the Village of Mount Prospect. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: The President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect do hereby amend the Official Comprehensive Plan of the Village of Mount Prospect with respect to a portion of property generally located between Northwest Highway and Central Road and between Pine and VViile Streets from Community Commercial to Multi-Family Residential-Medium Density, legally described as follows: Lots 1 and 2 in Clock Tower Place Subdivision in the West Half of Section 12, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois. SECTION TWO: The Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect is hereby authorized and directed to file notice of the amendment to the Official Comprehensive Plan of the Village of Mount Prospect with the Cook County Recorder of Deeds, as provided by the Statutes of the State of Illinois. SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its omprehensive Plan Clock Tower Place Page 2 of 2 passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
