HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 4642 05/03/1994 ORDINANCE NO. 4642 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES the 3rd day of May , 1994 Published in pamphlet form by authority of the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, the 3rd day of May , 1994. 4/26194 CAF/ ORDINANCE NO. 4642 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT WHEREAS, in the opinion of at least three-fourths of the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, it has been determined that it is no longer necessary, useful, or in the best interest of the Village of Mount Prospect to retain ownership of kitchen cabinets and range hood; and WHEREAS, it has been determined by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect that the best interests of the Village would be served by the sale of the personal property being the subject of this Ordinance to the highest bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: In accordance with the provisions of Section 65 5/11-76-4 of the Illinois Compiled Statutes, the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect find that the following items owned by the Village of Mount Prospect are no longer useful or necessary and the best interests of the Village will be served by selling the following items through through auction to the highest bidder: 25 used wooden kitchen type cabinets 7 assorted used metal cabinets 1 used steel range hood, 5 feet long SECTION TWO: That the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect be and is hereby directed to cause a public notice giving notice that the items being the subject of this Ordinance will be sold through an auction to be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 14, 1994 in the parking lot of the Police and Fire Headquarters Building, 112 East Northwest Highway, Mount Prospect, Illinois. SECTION THREE: The successful bidder(s) shall tender to the Village of Mount Prospect the consideration bid and upon receipt of such consideration, the Village Manager is hereby authorized to release said personal property to the successful bidder(s). All items shall be removed by the successful bidder or his/her agent before 5:00 P.M. on the day of the auction. SECTION FOUR: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
