HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 1105 11/02/1965 Ordinance No. 1105 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE II OF CHAPTER 11 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT LICENSING AND REGULATING BILLIARD AND POOL HALLS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: Section 11.203 of the Municipal Code of Mount Prospect of 1957 be, and it is hereby amended in its entirety so that the said Section 11.203 shall hereafter be and read as follows: Section 11.203. Minors. Minors under the age of 18 years shall under no circumstances frequent, loiter upon, enter, or remain in any premises licensed pursuant to this Article at any time unless such minor is accompanied by his or her parent or legal guardian; provided, however, minors under the age of 18 years shall not, even if accompanied by their parent or legal guardian, frequent, loiter upon, enter, or remain in any premises licensed pursuant to this Article after the hour of 9:00 p.m. It shall be unlawful for the proprietor of any premises licensed pursuant to this Article, or for any employee or agent of any such proprietor, to allow or permit any minor to frequent, ~ loiter upon, enter, or remain in such premises in viola- tion of this Section. SECTION TWO: Article II of Chapter 11 of the Munici- pal Code of Mount Prospect of 1957 be, and it is hereby, amended by renumbering Section 11.205 so that it shall hereafter be numbered Section 11.206, and by adding thereto a new Section 11.205, the said new Section to be and read as follows: .. -2- Section 11.205. Group Permits. The Village President may, in the exercise of his sole and exclusive discretion, authorize and permit the members of any organization, club, society or similar organized group, some or all of the members of which are minors under the age of 18 years, to enter and remain in a billiard or pool hall on a particular date and at a specified time, provided such organization, club, society or organized group is accompanied by and is under the supervision of at least one adult of the age of at least 25 years. The Village President may impose such other conditions on the issuance of such authorization or permit as he in his sole and exclusive discretion may deem necessary and advisable. SECTION THREE: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publica- tion in the manner provided by law. AYES: 5 NAYS: 0 , 1965. , 1955.
