I; II II II II I OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS: i i I II AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MOUNT PROSPECT BUILDING CODE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES SECTION ONE: Section 3 of Chapter II of the Mount Prospect Building Code is hereby amended in its entirety so that the said Section 3 shall thereafter be and read as follows: DUTIES &~D POWER OF THE SUPERINTENDENT OF BUILDINGS: I II i I 3. The Superintenden~ of Buildings shall be head of the Department of Buildings and shall have the following duties: (a) To devote his whole time to the duties of his office. (b) To receive all applications required under this Building Code, issue permits, and furnish the certificates prescribed by this Building Code. (c) To examine premises for which permits and certificates have been issued and to make necessary inspections to see that there has been compliance with all provisions of this Building Code and other applicable ordinances of the Village, that construction is prosecuted safely, and that such construction is proceeding, and is completed, in accordance with the plans for which a building permit has been issued. (d) To enforce all of the provisions of this Build- ing Code and of such other ordinances for the Village of Mount Prospect as may, from time to time be committee to the jurisdiction of the Department of Buildings for administration and enforcement. (e) To make, when requested by proper authority, or when the public interest requires it, investiga- tions in connection with matters referred to in this Building Code and to render written reports on the same. (f) To enforce compliance with the provisions of this Building Code, and with the provisions of such other ordinances of the Village as are committed to the jurisdiction of the Department of Build- ings, and to remove, or secure the removal of, illegal and unsafe conditions. (g) To secure necessary safeguards during construction. (h) To issue such notices or orders as may be necessary to administer and enforce this Build- ing Code and such other ordinances as may be committed to the jurisdiction of the Department of Buildings. " ORDINANCL 110. 1115 AN ORDINANCE Af1ENDING SECTIONS 14.1201 AND 14.1203 OF THE t10UNT PROSPr:;CT !1UNICIPAL CODE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRL:SIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF l-jOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: That Section 14.1201 of the Municipal Code of Hount Prospect of 1957, as amended, be further amended by adding thereto a new paragraph (f), the said new paragraph (f) to be and read as follows: ( f) "Property" means real property. SECTION TwO: That Section 14.1203 of the Hunicipal Code of Mount Prospect of 1957, as amended, be further amended by adding thereto two new paragraphs numbered (b) and (c), the said new paragraphs (b) and (c) to be and read as follows: (b) Within three hundred (300) feet of the location of any existing service station or tank or gasoline storage tank. (c) Within three hundred (300) feet of the property line of any property occupied by a public or private school or place of public assembly. SECTION THReE: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in the manner provided by law.
