CAF/ 12/14~94 ORDINANCE NO. 4695 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP WITH RESPECT TO THE REZONING PROPERTY FROM C-R TO R-1 (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE) DISTRICT LIONS PARK SCHOOL WHEREAS, Dr. Thomas W. Many, on behalf of Mount Prospect Schools, District 57, (hereinafter referred to as Petitioner) has filed an application to rezone property commonly known as Lions Park School, located at 300 East Council Trail, (hereinafter referred to as Subject Property), legally described as follows: That part of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 12, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, commencing at the intersection of the south line of the north 60 rods of Southwest Quarter of Section 12, and the West line of School Street, thence South 89 degrees 54 minutes 38 seconds 468.54 feet along the South line of the North 60 rods of the Southwest Quarter of Section 12, to the West line of Lot 2 extended North, thence North 00 degrees 03 minutes 46 seconds East, along said West line, 49.01 feet, thence south 89 degrees 54 minutes 38 seconds East 168.90 along a line parallel to the South line of the North 60 rods of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 12, thence North 00 degrees 03 minutes 46 seconds West 55.41 feet, thence South 89 degrees 54 minutes 38 seconds East 296.05 feet along a line parallel to the south line of the North 60 rods of the Southwest Quarter of said Section '~2, to the West line of School Street, thence south 1 degree 54 minutes 24 seconds East 104.43 feet along the West line of School Street, to the point of commencement, all in Cook County, Illinois; and WHEREAS, Petitioner has requested the Subject Property be rezoned from C-R to R-1 (Single Family Residence) District; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on the request for rezoning, being the subject of ZBA Case No. 47-Z-94, before the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect on the 27th day of October, 1994, pursuant to due and proper notice thereof having been published in the Mount Prospect Journal and Topics on the 12th day of October, 1994; and WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has submitted its findings and recommendation to the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect have considered the request being the subject of ZBA 47-Z-94 and have determined that the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect would be served by granting said request. NOW, '['HEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: That the recitals set forth hereinabove are incorporated herein as findings of fact by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect. SECTION TWO: The official zoning map of the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, as amended, is hereby further amended by reclassifying the property being the subject of this Ordinance from C-R to R-1 (Single Family Residence) District. SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its BA 47-Z-94 Page 2 of 2 passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
