Regular Meeting
December 3rd, 2019
Meeting Call to order at 0835
Roll Call
Members Present: Johnson, Phenegar, Bocox Novak, Kowalczyk, Lambel
Members Absent: Pastori
Officers Reports:
Chairman Report: None
Treasurer Report: Current total of funds at $463,894.22. Collections from 2019 with
interest totaling $80,536.35. Unknown of any other amounts that have not been
submitted. One company contacted FFTB by company attorney to settle past due
amounts. Unknown who the company is or what the past due amounts for the past three
years are but have put an offer through their attorney to settle for the amount of
$2000.00 and move forward. Motion made to settle amount at the $2000.00 offered
from client's attorney by Novak, seconded by Johnson. Vote: Yea- Johnson, Phenegar,
Bocox, Novak, Kowalczyk, Lambel. Nay- None.
Secretary Report: Approval of meeting minutes from the August 20th, 2019 Foreign Fire
Tax Board meeting, no corrections or objections made. Motion to approve meeting
minutes made by Johnson, seconded by Lambel. Vote: Yea- Johnson, Phenegar,
Bocox, Novak, Kowalczyk, Lambel. Nay- None.
Old Business:
Withdrawal of SCBA compressor by Novak. This purchase has been addressed in CPI
for the upcoming year.
New Business:
Submittal by J. Vena- Elkhart Flow Test Kit. J. Vena spoke about the benefits of this
item and how the department will be using it. Motion made by Johnson, seconded by
Novak for the purchase of the Elkhart Flow Test Kit. Vote: Yea -Johnson, Phenegar,
Bocox, Novak, Kowalczyk, Lambel. Nay- None.
Submittal by B. Loomis- Knox Box Key Secure Boxes with EKeys. Discussion ensued
with points of moving to a more secure and trackable use of keys. Amount proposed
was more than the $10,000.00 amount ($14,273.00), needing a special meeting for a
vote to general membership for approval. Motion for a special meeting made by
Johnson, seconded by Lambel. Special meeting scheduled for December 9t", 2019 at
Mount Prospect Fire Department Station 13 (112 E. Northwest Hwy, Mount Prospect IL.
60056) at 0830am.
