ORDINANCE NO. 1123
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MOUNT PROSPECT BUILDING CODE TO
RE-ESTABLISH A STREET OBSTRUCTION PERMIT FEE AND DEPOSIT
WHEREA$, by Ordinance No. 856, adopted and approved August
21, 1962, the Village of Mount Prospect repealed Section 31 of Chapter III
of the Mount Prospect Building Code, and
WHEREAS, The President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect have determined that the said former Section 31 of Chapter
III should be readopted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUST-
EES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: Chapter III of the Mount Prospect Building Code, as
amended, is hereby further amended by inserting between Sections 30 and 32
of the said Chapter III a Section 31, and said Section 31 to be and read as
follows:
31. The fee for a street, parkway or alley obstruction
permit for the purpose of storing material'shall be Five Dollars
(5.00) per month or part thereof for each 25 feet or fractional
part thereof of frontage so occupied. The minimum deposit shall
be fifty Dollars (50.00). Upon the discontinuance of the use
of such street, parkway or alley, the amount due for the street
permit shall be deducted from the deposit and the difference
returned.
31.1 The validity of such permit shall not extend beyond 90
days after dat~ of issuance of same.
31.2 Said permit may be renewed with ap~roval of the Super-
intendent of Building.
SECTION TWO: All ordinances, or parts of ordinances, in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION THREE: This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in the manner
provided by law.;
