ORDINANCE NO. 1128
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MOUNT PROSPECT BUILDING
CODE SO AS TO REQUIRE INSURANCE CERTIFICATES
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 856, adopted and approved
AUfust 21,
1962, the Village of Mount Prospect repealed Section 16 of Chapter III of
~he Mount Prospect Building Code~ and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect have determined that the said former Section 16 of Chap-
should be readopted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: Chapter III of the Mount Prospect Building Code,
s amended, is hereby further amended by adding thereto a Section 16, the
Section 16 to be and read as follows:
16. Insurance Certificate: A certi.ficate from the
Chicago Board of Underwriters on all proposed buildings or
structures other than those to be occupied as single and
two-family dwellings, or apartments, certifying that in-
surance rates on existing or future buildings on abutting,
adjoining or adjacent property not owned by applicant for
permit, will not be increased by reason of the proposed build-
ing or structure. This certificate will not be required
when written consent in the for~ of sworn affidavits
have been obtained from the owners of all of the affected
property. Such affidavits shall be kept permanently on
file by the Department of Buildings.
SECTION TWO: All ordinances, or parts of ordinances, in
onflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION THREE: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
rom and after its passage, approval and publication in the manner pro-
ided by law.
