AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT
PROSPECT 2.5 ACRES OF LAND COMMENCING AT A POINT
1112.53 FEET SOUTH OF LINCOLN STREET AND ADJACENT
TO THE WESTERN BOUNDARY OF COLONIAL HEIGHTS'
NINTH ADDITION
WHEREAS, a written petition under oath signed by the owner of record of the
land hereinafter described has been filed with the Village Clerk of the Vil-
lage of Mount Prospect requesting that said land be annexed to the Village
of Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS, there are no electors residing within said land to be annexed, and
WHEREAS, said land is not within the corporate limits of any municipality,
but is contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect; and

WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect,
Illinois, find and believe it to be in the best interest of the said Village
that the said land and territory be annexed thereto;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS:

SECTION ONE: That all land and territory legally described as follows, to-wi~
The South 329.39 feet (except the West 337.71 feet) of Lot 1 in
Owners Division, a subdivision of the Southeast 1/4 (except the
West 1/2 of Southwest 1/4 thereof) in Section 10, Township 41
North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook
County, Illinois,
an accurate map of which territory is attached hereto and made a part hereof
by this reference, be, and the same is hereby, annexed to the Village of Mount
Prospect, Cook County, Illinois.
SECTION TWO: The Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect is hereby
directed to file in the office of the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois,
a copy of this Ordinance, together with an accurate map of the territory annexed.
SECTION THREE: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval as provided by law.

NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF PROPERTY
LOCATED IN ELK GROVE RURAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT

Pursuant to the provlslons of Section 7-1-1 of the Illinois Municipal Code, as
amended August 3, 1965, you, and each of you, as Trustees of the Elk Grove
Rural Fire Protection District, are hereby notified that the corporate authori-
ties of the Village of Mount Prospect will consider the annexation of certain
property within the corporate limits of the Elk Grove Rural Fire Protection
District at a regular meeting of the said corporate authorities of the said
Village in the Village Hall in Mount Prospect, Illinois, on February 1, 1966,
at 8:00 p. m., which said property is commonly known as the Colonial Heights,
Inc., property consisting of approximately 2.5 acres located adjacent to the
southwest corporate limits of the Village of Mount Prospect commencing at a
point 1112.53 feet South of Lincoln Street and adjacent to the Western boundary
of Colonial Heights' Ninth Addition, more particularly described as:
The South 329.39 feet (except the West 337.71 feet) of Lot 1 in
Owners Division, a subdivision of the Southeast 1/4 (except the
West 1/2 of Southwest 1/4 thereof) in Section 10, Township 41
North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook
County, Illinois
At the aforesaid time and place you may appear and be heard in connection with
the aforesaid proposed annexation if you so see fit.
