HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 1178 11/01/1966 ORDINANCE NO. 1178 II AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17.106 AND SECTION 17.107 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: Section 17.106 of the Municipal Code of Mount Prospect of 1957, as amended, is hereby further amended by deleting in line six of said Section the words "twenty-four (24) hours" and in place provide the words "thirty (30) days" so that the said Section 17.106 shall thereafter, in its entirety, be and read as follows: Section 17.106. Time of Payment - License Year. Such license fee shall be due and payable annually in advance on the first day of January of each year. Where a resident applicant acquires a vehicle after the first day of January or where an applicant has established residence within the Village after the first day of January then said license fee shall be due and payable within thirty (30) days. All such licenses shall expire on the 31st day of December following the date of issuance. Where the said fee becomes due six (6) months after the start of the license year, then upon timely application being made to the Clerk, a license shall be issued for the remainder of the year upon payment of one-half (1/2) of the fee provided for in Section 17.103. SECTION TWO: Section 17.107 of the Municipal Code of Mount Prospect of 1957, as amended, is hereby further amended by adding thereto a new paragraph (c) to follow paragraph (b) of said Section 17.107, so that the said paragraph (c) of the said Section 17.107 shall thereafter be and read as follows: (c) The due date for display of current Village windshield sticker in accordance with provisions set forth in Section 17.107 (a) shall be February 16 of each year. SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in the manner provided by law.
