AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING 4.77 ACRES OF LAND LYING SOUTH OF KENSINGTON ROAD. IMMEDIATELY EAST OF ELMHURST ROAD. WHEREAS. property legally described as follows: That part of the Northwest 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 34, Township 42 North, Range 11 East of the third principal meridian described as follows: Beginning at a point on the North line of the Northwest 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 aforesaid which is 774.24 feet West of the Northeast corner of the Northwest 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 aforesaid; thence South 30.0 feet along the West line of the East 774.24 feet of the Northwest 1/4 of the ;;crtheast 1/4.aforesaid; thence West 173.64 feet along a line 30.0 feet South of the North line of the Northwest 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 aforesaid to a point of curvature; thence concave Southerly for a distance. of 59.23 feet with a radius of 25.0 feet to a point of tangency on the Northeasterly line of Rand Road; thence Southeasterly 268.69 feet along the Northeasterly line of Rand Road to an intersection with the West line of the East 774.24 feet of the Northwest 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 afore- said; thence South along the West line of the East 774.24 feet aforesaid to the center line of Rand Road; thence Southeasterly along the center line of Rand Road to its intersection with the South line of Lot 1 in N. J. Funk's Subdivision extended Easterly; thence West aleng the extended line 71.53 feet to the Southwesterly line of Rand Road, also being the Southeasterly corner Lot 1 in N. J. Funk's Subdivision aforesaid; thence Northwesterly along the Southwesterly line of Rand Road to its intersection with the North line of Lot 1, also being the Northeasterly corner of Lot 1 in N. J. Funk's Subdivision aforesaid; thence West along the North line of Lots 1 and 2 in N. J. Funk's Sub- division aforesaid to the Northwest corner of Lot 2 aforesaid, also being the East line of Main Street; thence North along the East line of Main Street to the South line of Foundry Road; thence East along the South line of Foundry Road to its intersection with the Northeasterly line of Rand Road; thence Northwesterly along the Northeasterly line of Rand Road to its intersection with the North line of the Northwest 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 34 aforesaid; thence East along the North line of the Northwest 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 aforesaid to the place of beginninp; together with all of Lot 2 in N. J. Funk's Subdivision of the South 150 feet of the North 511.60 feet of that part of the Northwest 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4, lying West of the center line of Rand Road, of Section 34, Township 42 North, Range 11 East of the 3rd P.M. in Cook County, Illinois. is within the unincorporated territory of Cook County and not within any municipality and is less than sixty (60) acres in area; and WHEREAS, said land and territory is both contiguous and wholly bounded by the Village of Mount Prospect; and ..... WHEREAS, the Statutes of the State of Illinois, and particularly Section 7-1-13 of Chapter 24 thereof (Illinois Revised Statutes 1965) pro- vides for the annexation of said territory upon the passage of an OrGineDCe - to cD cD ~ en .p.- o:.> (} - 2 - by the Village; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, County of Cook, find and believe it to be to the best in- terest of seid Village that the aforedescribed land and territory be annexed thereto; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, County of Cook, Illinois: SECTION ONE: That all land and territory legally described as follows, to-wit: That part of the Northwest 1/4 of the Northeast l/4 of Section 34, Township 42 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian described as follows: Beginning at a point on the North line of the Northwest 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 aforesaid which is 774.24 feet West of the Northeast corner of the Northwest 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 aforesaid; thence South 30.0 feet along the West line of the East 774.24 feet of the Northwest 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 aforesaid; thence West 173.64 feet along a line 30.0 feet South of the North line of the Northwest 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 aforesaid to a point of curvature; thence concave Southerly for a distance of 59.23 feet with a radius of 25.0 feet to a pcint of tangency on the Northeasterly line of Rand Road; thence Southeasterly 268.69 feet along the North- easterly line of Rand Road to an intersection with the West line of the East 774.24 feet of the Northwest 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 afore- said; thence South along the West line of the East 774.24 feet afore- said to the center line of Rand Road; thence Southeasterly alon~ the center line cf Rand Road to its intersection with the South line of Lot 1 in N. J. Funk's Subdivision of the South 150 feet of the North 511.60 feet cf that part of the Northwest 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4, lyine West of the center line of Rand Road, of Sec- tion 34, Township 42 North, Range 11 East of the 3rd P. M. in Cook County!
