HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 2014 07/18/1967 ORDINANCE NO. 2014 I AN ORDINANCE GRANTING ADDITIONAL VARIATIONS FOR PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE SOl1.rH SIDE OF KENSINGTON ROAD BETWEEN WILSHIRE AVENUE AND RAND ROAD " 4.., 1JHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees on March 21, 1967 did pass and approve Ordinance No. 1194 granting certain variations for the property de~cribed. degally herein; and WHEREAS, the Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect sub- sequent to the passage of Ordina.nde No. 1194 did hear testimony presented under Case No. 67-27A pertaining to a request for the installation and construction of a standard, sign; and WHEREAS, the Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect determined that the characteristics of the hereindescribed property, based on the variations. heretofore granted, are that of a B-3 nature; and WHEREAS, the proposed standard sign would be set back 30 feet from Kensington Road; and WHEREAS, the Board of Appeals recorrnnended to approve the petitioner's request for a standard sign on the subject property to be set back 30 feet from Kensington Road; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect have reviewed the matter herein and have determined that the same is for the best interest of the Village of Mount Prospect; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINEIJ BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VIlLAGE OF rvDUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: That the property being the subject matter of Case No. 67-27A, being legally described as follows: The North four hundred (400) feet of the West one hundred forth (140) feet of the East two hundred eighty (280) feet of that part of the Northwest quarter of the Northeast quarter of Section thirty four (34), Township (42) North, Range eleven (11) East of the Third Principal Meridian lying Northeast of Rand Road, in Cook County, Illinois is cUITently zoned under the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Mount Prospect as R-l (single family residence) which zoning classification shall remain subject to the variations granted under Ordinance No. 1194 and the following variation: (1) That a standard sign may be installed and constructed on the said property provided that said sign be set back 30 feet from the subject property line abutting Kensington Road. (2) That said staniard sign be in conformity with the plans drawings submitted under Case No. 67-27A. (3) That a wall sign on the north side of the building as per exhibit 2 under Case No. 67-27A not to exceed 120 square feet. SECTION TWO: That all requirements of the Village Code be applicable except those variations granted under Ordinance No. 1194 and the additional variations as specified in Section One heretofore mentioned. . . SECTION THREE: That the Director of Building and Zoning of the Village of Mount Prospect is hereby authorized to issue a sign permit in accordance with the variations hereinbefore mentioned. SECTION FOUR: That the variations granted by this Ordinance shall be null and void and of no force and effect whatsoever unless an application for a sign permit pursuant to such variations is made and construction cOITmenced within one year of the date said Ordinance becomes effective. SECTION FIVE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law. AYES: 5 NAYS: 1 PASSED this 18th day of July, 1967.
