ORDINANCE NO. 2028
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTIES LYING
APPROXIMATELY 968 FEET WEST OF ELMHURST ROAD
IMMEDIATELY SOUTH OF GOLF ROAD.
WHEREAS, the property legally described herein is not within any
municipality and is less than sixty (60) acres in area; and
WHEREAS, said land and terrirory is both contiguous and wholly
bounded by the Village of Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS, the Statutes of the State of Illinois and in particular
Section 7-1-13 of Chapter 24 thereof (Illinois Revised Statutes 1966)
provides for the annexation of said territory upon the passage of an Ordinance
by the Village; and
WHEREAS, the President anA Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount
Prospect, County of Cook, find and believe it would be to the best interests
of the Village that the herein described land and territory be annexed thereto;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1:
follows, to-wit:
That all land and territory legally descrihed as
Beginning at a point on the South line of the East half of the Northeast
quarter of Section 14, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third
Principal Meridian, said point being 854.70 feet west of a stone at the
Southeast corner of said Quarter; thence running West along the South
line of said quarter to the Southwest corner of said East half: thence
North along the West line of said East half Co center of Public Road
(at a point 33 feet North of Split Field Stone, 28 inches long; thence
East along the center of said Road to a point 854.7 feet West of the
East line of said Northeast quarter (said 854.7 feet to be measured
along the center of said Road); and thence South 1016.4 feet to the
place of beginning; (excepting from said tract that part thereof lying
East of a line running North on a course forming a deflection angle
to the right with the South line of said East half of the Northeast
quarter of Section 14 aforesaid of 91003'48". which said line commences
at a point on the South line of said East half of the Northeast quarter
of Section l4Saforesaid 1079.32 feet West of the Southeast corner of
said Northeast quarter of Section 14 aforesaid, in Cook County, Illinois,
which territory is contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect and is wholly
bounded by the Village of Mount Prospect and is not presently in any incor-
porated municipality but is in the unincorporated territory of Cook County,
and whereas said territory is less than sixty (60) acres in size, be and the
same is hereby annexed to the Village of Mount Prospect so that hereafter
territory shall be included within the boundary lines and limits of said
Village, as is by law in such case made and provided.
SECTION 2: That the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect
is hereby directed to record a certified copy of this Ordinance together with
an accurate map of said territory with the Recorder of Deeds in Cook County,
Illinois .

SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication in the manner provided
