RESOLUTION NO. 8-70
A RESOLtJrIOH ESTiffiIJSHING SALARIES IN THE FIRE AND POLICE
DEP ARlliIENTS
~VHEREAS ~ on I'iIay 20, 1969 the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect adopted Resolution 11-69 establishing the
salaries of police lieutenants, fire lieutenants, fire inspector,
and police sergeants, policemen, and policeil/'oma11., firemen, and fire-
man-mechanic; and
TNHEREAS, it is 1'10111 the desire and detem.ination of this Board to
change the provisions of said Resolution 11-69;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, IILINOIS:
SECTION OJ\'IE: Tnat said Resolution 11-69, passed aDd adopted on r1ay 20,
1969, is herein repealed and superceded by this Resolution.
SECTION Tv.JO: BE IT FURTHER RESOLvED that effective I\1ay 1, 1970 the
annual salary for police lieutenants shall be $14,184.00.
SECTION THREE: BE IT FURI'HER RESOLVED that effective f'!1a,y 1, 1970 the
annual salary for police sergeants shall be $13,008.00.
SECTION FOUR: BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that effective r,1ay 1, 1970 the
annual salary for fire lieutenants shall be $13,596.00.
SECTION FIVE: BE IT FURrHER RESOLVED that effective J'v1ay 1, 1970 the
annual salary for firemen and the annual salary for pOlicemen shall be
as scheduled herein:
First 6 months at rank
Second 6 months at rank
Third 6 months at rar.k
Fourth 6 months at ra11k
Fifth 6 months at rank
Sixth 6 months at rank
Seventh 6 months at rank
After 42 months at rank

SECTION SIX: BE Is:' FURI'HER RESOLVED that effective r/fay 1, 1970 the
fireman-mechanic shall receive the sum of Thirty Dollars ($30.00) per
month in addition to his base rate.
SECTION SEVEN: BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that effective May 1, 1970 the
annual salary of the policewanan shall be Eight Thousand Dollars ($8,000.00).
SECTION EIGHT: The above rates are premised on service time at the rank
coupled with recommendation by the respective Chiefs of Departments.
SECTION NINE: BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall be in full
force and effect fran and after its passage and approval in the manner pro-
vided by law.
