A RESOLUTION FOR THE PURCHASE OF LA..T'-JD ADJACENT TO THE lVIOUNT PIDSPECr

~'JHEREAS.Ii the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount
Prospect have determined to purchase a site for use as park:ing
conjunction with the Mount Prospect Public Library; and
W,;YEREJlS it said site can be purchased for $28 11l82. 39 and $129 s 000.00
has been appropriated for the acquisition of land this fiscal year;
and
~\JHEPEAS.Ii the pres:ident and Board of Trustees the Village of Mount
Prospect have revlewed the aforesatd matter and are of the op:inion
that the site proposed to be purchased is needed to provide additional
parking for the Public Library; and
Iv.HEPEAS.Ii the President and Board of Trustees have detennined that
bonds shall not be issued for the cost of acquir:ing said site;

SEGrION 'IVJO: That the purchase price of the aforementioned property

be paid to the Board of Education of School District No. 57 ~ Cook

the funds appropriated for the acquisition of land by the Village of
Mount Prospect.
SECTION 'rHREE: That legal title to the aforementioned tract shall be

SEGrION FOlJR: That the President of the Board of Trustees of the
Villige' 'or'Mount Prospect is authorized to sign $ execute lil and deliver
a contract to purchase the aforementioned land (as per copy attached
hereto) pursuant to the term.,,> and amount aforementioned; and that the
Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect is authorized to attest said
signature.
SEGrION FIVE: That the aforementioned tract shall be leased to the
Mount Prospect Public Library for additional Library parking for a
period of not less than ten (10) years at an annual rate not to exceed
five dollars ($5.00) per year; that the President of the Board of
T-t'UStees of the Village of I'/lount Prospect is hereby authorized to
s:t.gn said lease agreement drawn pursuant to the terms hereinabove
described; and that the Village Clerk is authorized to attest said
signature before said lease.
SEGrION SIX: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
