RESOIlJTION NO. 20-70
A RESOLG'TION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN
AGREEMENT FOR jVIUTUAL AID
v1THEREAS, Section 11-6-1 of Chapter 24 of the Illinois Revised
Statutes empowers municipalities to enter into agreements with
other municipalities for mutual aid consisting of furnishing
equipment and manpower from and to such other municipalities
and fire protection districts; and
'WHERF.AS, the Fire Chiefs of the Villages of Arlington Heights
and r.1ount Prospect have proposed that such a mutual aid agree-
ment for fire fig,."1ting purposes be entered into bet1tJeen the
said municipalities; and
1tlHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Mount Prospect believe that such an agreement is for the
best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESID&\JT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VIILAGE OF IVIOU1\TT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That the President of the Board of Trustees of
the Village of r'~ount Prospect is hereby authorized to sign and
the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect is hereby auth-
orized to attest the Mutual Aid Agreement made a part hereof and
attached hereto as Exhibit A.
SECTION TWO: That the said rllutual Aid Agreement shall be binding
upon the parties thereto and upon the successor municipal auth-
orities of the Village of Mount Prospect and the Village of Ar-
lington Heights.
SECTION THREE: That this Resolution shall be in full force and
effect- from and after its passage and approval in the manner
prescribed by Law.
