RESOLUTION NO. 1-71
ANNUAL RESOLUTION ALlTIIOHIZING APPLICATIONS FOR PERrIlITS FROrvI
THE ILLINOIS DIVISION OF HIGhWAYS
hl1lliREAS, the Village of rrfount Prospect, located in the County of Cook,
State of Illinois, desires to undertake, iD trle year 1971~ the locations
construction, operation" and rraJntenance of driveways and street returns,
waterrnains, sam tary and storm seVIers" street lichts ~ traffic signals 3
side"ralks, landscaping, etc., on State highways ~ wi thin said Village of
Mount Prospect, which by lavv and/or agreement come under the jurisdiction
and control of the Department of Public Horks and Buildings of the State
of Illinois hereinafter referred to as Department; and
h'l-::EFEAS, an i..'l'1di vidual -working permit must be obtained from the Department
prior to any of the aforesaid installations being constructed either by
the Village of Mount Prospect or by a private person or finn under contract
and supervision of the said Village of r,10unt Prospect;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PESOL VED BY THE PRESIDENT lu\JD BOAPD OF 'rRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: 'mat the Village of r-10unt Prospect hereby pledges its
good faith and guarantees that all work shall be performed in accordance
with the conditions of the perrnit to be granted by the Department, and
to hold the State of Illinois, Department of Public \'Jorks and Buildings
harrr~ess on account of any damages that may occur to persons or property
dur~ng the prosecution of such work, and assume all liability for d&uages
to persons or property due to accidents or otheI'VJise by reason of the work
which is to be perfoI'r'1ed under the provision of said permit.
SECTION TVIO: 'That all authorized officials of the Vlllage of Ivlount
Prospect are hereby instructed and authorized to sign said 1JJOrking
permit on behalf of the Village of IJlount Prospect e
SEc'nON 'rHREE: 'Ihat the Villap:e Clerk is hereby directed to fOI'Vmrd
a certified copy of this Resolution to the Office of the District
Engineer , Division of liighways, State of Illinois.
SEc'rION FOUR: 'That this Eesolutlon shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval in the manner provided by 1m-v.
