RESOLLTIQ\J 19-71
'WHEREAS I'J HB1207 proposes that all annexatiQ"1S ~ the acquisition
and disposition of :real propervty ~ zoning c..1-Janges of ten acres or more, and
changes or modifications of Public 1IIoms facilities in excess of
$500I'JOOO..OO be submitted to the Northeastern
Planning Com:ni.ssion
(NIPC) before a municipality can act thereon; and
'VJHEFEAS I'J such ma.\'1dator'Y review would appear to be an unnecessary
interference of I'nuJucipal hOIT'..e-rule Jl not justified by regional concepts or
goals;

Prospect that HB1207 does not appeal' to be
the best intex'ests of our
municipality and should not be enacted into la:v,r:b and that copies of t:his
:resolution should be distributed to the appropriate legislators..
