HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 32-71 09/21/1971 RESOLUTION NUMBER 32-71 A RESOLUTION FOR THE PURCHASE OF LAND ADJACENT TO THE MOUNT PROSPECT FIRE STATION NO. TWO WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect have determined to purchase a site for use as additional parking in conjunction with the Mount Prospect Fire Station No. Two and the Police Pistol Ran~located therein; and WHEREAS, the said site has been purchased by the Village Ad- ministration for $10,000.00 and $200,000.00 has been appro- priated for the acquisition of land this fiscal year; WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect have reviewed the aforesaid matter and are of the opinion that the site proposed to be purchased is needed to provide additional parking as hereinabove described; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees have determined that bonds shall not be issued for the cost of acquiring said site; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: That the President and Board of Trustees hereby ratify the actions of Mount Prospect Administration Officials in purchasing the following described property: Lot Two (2) in Block One (1), in Elk Ridge Villa Unit No.1, being a Subdivision in the West Half (1/2) of the West Half (1/2) of Section 14, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, according to Plat thereof registered in the Office of the Registrar of Titles of Cook County, Illinois on NOvember 26, 1958, as Document Number 1831541, and certificate of correction thereof registered as Document Number 1832286. SECTION TWO: That it is understood the purchase price for said Lot Two was $10,000.00 and that legal title to the afore- mentioned tract has been placed in the name of the 1TVILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT,ILLINOIS,1l a municipal corporation", both of which items are now agreeable to the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect and both of which would have been authorized by the said President and Board of Trustees had this Resolution been proposed prior to the accomplishment of the Administrator in pruchasing the subject land. SECTION THREE: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
