RESOLUTION NUMBER 10-72
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING SALARIES IN THE FIRE AND POLICE
DEPARTfvlENTS
WHEREAS, on May 18, 1971, the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Mount Prospect adopted Resolution 18-71
establishing the salaries of Fire Captain, Police Lieutenants,
Fire Lieutenants, Police Sergeants, Policemen, and Policewoman,
Firemen, and Fireman-Mechanic; and
WHEREAS, it is now the desire and determination of this Board
to change the provisions of said Resolution 18-71;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That said Resolution 18-71, passed and adopted
on May 18, 1971, is herein repealed and superseded by this
Resolution.
SECTION TWO: That effective May 1, 1972, the annual salary for
Fire Captain shall be $17,425.00.
SECTION THREE: That effective May 1, 1972, the annual salary
of Police Lieutenants shall be $16,085.00.

for Police Sergeants shall be $14,744.00.
SECTION FIVE: That effective May 1, 1972, the annual salary
for Fire Lieutenants shall be $15,415.00.
SECTION SIX: That effective May 1, 1972, the annual salary
for Fireman-Mechanic shall be $14,124.00.
SECTION SEVEN: That effective May 1, 1972, the annual salary
for Firemen, Policemen, and Policewoman shall be as scheduled
herein:
First 6 months at rank
Second 6 months at rank
Third 6 months at rank
Fourth 6 months at rank
Fifth 6 months at rank
Sixth 6 months at rank
Seventh 6 months at rank
Eighth 6 months at rank
$10,960.00
$11,493.00
$11,848.00
$12,176.00
$12,517.00
$12,858.00
$13,131.00
$13,404.00
SECTION EIGHT: That the above rates are premised on service
time at the rank coupled with recommendation by the respective
Chiefs of Departments.
SECTION NONE: BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval in the manner provided by law.
