On -• • October2020,, the Village Managerand Executive Assistant met
with prospective purchaser Carlos Prado and current manager Norma Zepeda
regarding his request to assume ownership of the above referenceld
establishment. Mr. Carlos Prado is seeking to obtain a Class ""F-1"" designation,,
which provides for full service of alcoholic beverages at dining tables only.

three restaurants gaining knowledge in the front and back end of house
operations. Mr. Prado along with his mother Norma Zepeda., who is the current
manager, will head up the operations of the restaurant. The business will continue
to operate under the current name La Presa. La Presa continues to serve an
authentic Mexican menu • dining or take out andwill occur • change
staff. Hours of operation will remain the same opened seven days a week from
Mr. Prado completed a Basset classroom training and indicated he understood his
obligations in regards to the Liquor Code. It was emphasized that all employees be
held to the strict standards of the Liquor Code and any violations would be held
against the applicant. A completed application along with applicable fees and
required paperwork are in hand. Mr. Prado has submitted to required
fingerprinting and background checks.
La Presa currently holds an "F -1-V"" liquor license being approved by the Village
Board for a gaming license on June 4. 2019, however; no terminals were installed
,#ue to a conflict of interest with the property owner. Mr. Prado would need to
ipply and be approved by the Illinois State Gaming Board and the Village oi

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13 OF THE
VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT
PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS ACTING IN THE EXERCISE OF THEIR HOME RULE POWERS:
SECTION ONE: That in accordance with Subsection A of Section 13.108 of Chapter 13 of the Village Code
of Mount Prospect, as amended, the Corporate Authorities shall determine the number of Liquor Licenses
available in each Classification and shall establish a list specifying the number of Liquor Licenses
authorized. Said list is hereby amended increasing the number of Class "F-1" license by One (1) LA
PRESA RESTAURANT 2 INC. d/b/a LA PRESA RESTAURANT located at 401 E. Euclid, Mount Prospect,
IL. Said list is as follows:
