RESOLUTION NO. 17-73
A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING WAGES AND OTHER BENEFITS
OF OFFICERS AND MEMBERS OF THE MOUNT PROSPECT
FIRE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the budget for the fiscal year 1973-74 contains
sufficient allocation of funds to cover wages and certain
benefits for the regular full time membership assigned to fire
companies of the Mount Prospect Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Mount
Prospect have reached certain agreements regarding wages and
benefits which effect the said regular full time members of the
Mount Prospect Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect believe that such are in the best interests of
the Village of Mount Prospect;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That the following points have been agreed upon by
and between the regular full time membership assigned to fire
companies of the Mount Prospect Fire Department and the Corporate
Authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect:
(A) That the average work week of all said regular full
time members of the Mount Prospect Fire Department
shall be reduced to 50.4 hours, effective May 1, 1973,
which reduction shall be implemented on a basis of
one day per month average.
(b) That the said regular full time membership of the
Mount Prospect Fire Department shall not participate
in the Village's longevity pay program.
(c) That the said regular members of the Mount Prospect
Fire Department shall continue to receive paid vaca-
tions, the duration of which shall be as calculated
heretofore;
(d) That the said regular full time members of the Mount
Prospect Fire Department shall not make requests nor
negotiate any changes in the above items (a), (b) and
(c) until after February 1, 1976; and
(e) That the said regular full time membership of the
Mount Prospect Fire Department shall receive a 4.5%
salary increase for the fiscal year 1973-74; so that
commencing May 1, 1973, the following salary schedule
shall prevail in the Fire Department:

SECTION TWO: That this Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner
provided by law.
