RESOLUTION NO. 22-73
RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF S. A. M.
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect is desirous of joining
with other suburban cities and villages to associate for the
purposes of protecting common sources of municipal revenue; and
WHEREAS, the said cities and villages have formed the "Suburban
Association of Municipalities";
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That the Village of Mount Prospect, being a
municipal corporation located in suburban Cook County, Illinois,
be and the same is hereby authorized to become a part of the
Suburban Association of Municipalities which has for its purpose
the cornmon aim of joining together all of the suburban
municipalities in Cook County, Illinois, for the purpose of
utilizing the services of a legal consultant for the current
fiscal year, to coordinate the participation of the aforesaid
municipalities in maintaining current sources of revenue and to
keep the said cities and villages of suburban Cook County, Illi-
nois, apprised of any and all revenue producing bills that are
currently being presented and that will be introduced hereafter
in the Illinois State Legislature.
SECTION TWO: That this Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner
provided by law.
