RESOLUTION 16-74
A RESOLUTION IN OPPOSITION TO HB 512
WHEREAS, a bill was introduced in March of 1973 pro-
viding for the distribution of Sales Tax Revenues produced in
annexed territory on the basis of two-thirds to the county
government and one-third to the municipalities, and
WHEREAS, the municipalities, together with the Illinois
Municipal League, entered their objections to said bill, and
WHEREAS, said bill is being re-introduced to the legis-
lature under House Bill 512;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE
VILLAGE BOARD OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY,
ILLINOIS, that
SECTION ONE: The Village Board of the Village of Mount
Prospect reaffirms its objections to the provisions of House
Bill 512, and
SECTION TWO: The Village Board of the Village of Mount
Prospect urges all legislators interested in equitable municipal
revenue policies to vote "NO" on House Bill 512.
