This public hearing, called pursuant to proper legal notice having been published
in the Daily Herald on December 7,2006 is for the purpose of presenting the
proposed 2007 Budget for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2007 and ending
December 31,2007.

IN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
This ordinance will prohibit smoking in certain public places and places of
employment.
G. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 16 AND APPENDIX A, (Exhibit F)
DIVISION II OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
This ordinance establishes a process that will give Staff an option, which can be
applied to certain projects to provide storm water benefits without the necessity
of constructing detention facilities on sites where it would be impractical and
ineffective.

NEW BUSINESS
A. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE MAKING CERTAIN AMENDMENTS TO THE
ANNUAL BUDGET ADOPTED FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING
JANUARY 1, 2006 AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 2006
This budget amendment revises the current budget amount to account for
material variations in revenues and expenditures in accordance with the
Budget Officer System.

B. 1st reading of an ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 17 (VEHICLE LICENSES)
AND APPENDIX A, DIVISION II OF THE VILLAGE CODE
This ordinance authorizes an increase in the cost for a replacement of a vehicle
sticker from $2.00 to $5.00. The ordinance will also amend the Village Code to
reflect changes related to replacement of lost stickers.

C. 1st reading of an ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24 AND APPENDIX A,
DIVISION III OF THE VILLAGE CODE
Adoption of the State of Illinois Carbon Monoxide Alarm Detection Act with
local amendments.

D. * A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE FOREST RIVER FIRE PROTECTION AND THE VILLAGE OF
MOUNT PROSPECT
This annual agreement required by Court Order, authorizes the Village to
provide emergency services to those portions of unincorporated Cook County
located within the Forest River Protection District.

E. * A RESOLUTION FOR MAINTENANCE OF STREETS AND HIGHWAYS
BY MUNICIPALITY UNDER THE ILLINOIS HIGHWAY CODE
This resolution appropriates money from Motor Fuel Tax funds for the
2007 Resurfacing Program.

F. * A RESOLUTION FOR MAINTENANCE OF STREETS AND HIGHWAYS BY
MUNICIPALITY UNDER THE ILLINOIS HIGHWAY CODE
This resolution appropriates money from Motor Fuel Tax funds for the
maintenance of streets and highways from January 1-December 31,2007.

G. * Accept Public Improvements for White Oak - Leonard Water Main
Water main project at Leonard Lane and White Oak Street has been
satisfactorily completed and staff recommend approval of this project.
XII. VILLAGE MANAGER'S REPORT .
A. Request to accept proposal for 2007 Property and Workers Compensation
Insurance Program in an amount not to exceed $134,512.
B. *Request Village Board approval to accept bid for one (1) 40,000# Capacity
Trailer in an amount not to exceed $18,650.
C. Request Village Board approval to accept bid for one (1) Vacuum Catch Basin
Cleaner to be mounted on Village owned cab and chassis in an amount not to
exceed $108,889.
D. Request Village Board approval to accept proposal for Hansen Information
Technologies Software Upgrade in an amount not to exceed $69,000.
