RESOLUTION NO. 26-76
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE BOARD OF THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, Bertha Eleanor Rohrbach has held the Office of the City
Clerk in the City of Des Plaines since 1965, and has upgraded the
Office of City Clerk during her almost twelve years of service; an
WHEREAS, she organized the Municipal Clerks of Illinois and served
as President of this organization for a period of two years, durin
which time the Municipal Clerks of Illinois Manual was published
and is now widely used by clerks, attorneys, managers and others
throughout the State of Illinois; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Rohrbach serves on the Board of Directors of the
International Institute of Municipal Clerks, and received the
IIMC Award for Professional Excellence in 1971; and
WHEREAS, she was appointed by the Governor of the State of Illinoi
to serve on the Board of Trustees of the Municipal Clerk's In-
stitute at the University of Illinois and was instrumental in
establishing a four year course of study for all Clerks of the
State of Illinois; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Rohrbach has served in an advisory capacity to the
State Board of Elections in the preparation of a manual of
instructions to Judges of Election; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect believes Mrs. Rohrbach woul
serve the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund as well as an
Executive Trustee;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That we do hereby petition the Illinois Municipal
Retirement Fund that Mrs. Bertha Eleanor Rohrbach be a candidate
for the office of Executive Trustee of the Illinois Municipal
Retirement Fund for a five year term, beginning January 1, 1977.
SECTION TWO: That this Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
