RESOLUTION NO. 28-76
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A PERMIT APPLICATION TO THE ILLINOIS
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION DIVISION OF WATER RESOURCES FOR
THE STABILIZATION OF THE BANKS OF WELLER CREEK BETWEEN ELMHURST
AVENUE AND WILLIAM STREET
WHEREAS, the banks of Weller Creek within the Village boundries
are eroding because of excessive stream flows during periods
of heavy rains;
WHEREAS, it is necessary to protect the banks of Weller Creek
against erosion;
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect is applying for funds to
stabilize the banks of Weller Creek under the Federal Public
Works Act;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
Section One: That an application be made to the Illinois
Department of Transportation, Division of Water Resources for a
permit to stabilize the banks of Weller Creek.
Section Two: That this resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner
provided by law.
