ORDINANCE NO. 4803
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 18 ENTITLED
'TRAFFIC CODE' OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE
OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That Section 18.2005 of "Schedule V- No Stopping, Standing or Parking"
of Chapter 18 of the Village Code of Mount Prospect, as amended, is hereby further
amended to add in proper alphabetical sequence the following regulations; so that hereafter
said Section 18.2005 of Chapter 18 of the Village Code of Mount Prospect shall include the
following:
"Name of Side of Between
Street Street Hours of Description
Central Rd. East & West At any time On or within 13 ft of the
railroad tracks
Emerson St. East & West At any time On or within 13 ft of the
railroad tracks
Euclid Ave. North & South At any time On or within 13 ft of the
railroad tracks
Kensington Rd. North & South At any time On or within 13 ft of the
railroad tracks
Main St (Rt. 83) East & West At any time On or within 13 ft of the
railroad tracks
Mount Prospect Rd East & West At any time On or within 13 ff of the
railroad tracks "
SECTION TVVO: That Section 18.2017 of "Schedule XVll - Restricted Intersection
Movements" of Chapter 18 of the Village Code of Mount Prospect, as amended, is hereby
further amended to add in proper alphabetical sequence the following regulations; so that
hereafter said Section 18.2017 of Chapter 18 of the Village Code of Mount Prospect shall
include the following:
"Intersection and Direction Restriction
Northwest bound traffic on No left turn onto westbound Central Rd. when
Northwest Hwy at Central Rd. railroad gates are down and when illuminated
"No Left Turn" sign is activated.
Northwest bound traffic on No left turn onto southbound Main St. when
Northwest Hwy at Main St. railroad gates ara down and when illuminated
"No Left Turn" sign is activated.
Northwest bound traffic on No left tqm onto southbound Emerson St. when
Northwest Hwy at Emerson St. railroad gates are down and when illuminated
"No Left Turn" sign is activated."
SECTION THREE: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
