RESOLUTION NO. 9-75
A RESOLUTION HONORING WHEELING TOWNSHIP
WHEREAS, in April 1850 the people of Wheeling Township joined
together to form the first local government in this Northwest
suburban area; and
WHEREAS, each year since 1850 a Township Annual Meeting has
been conducted by the citizens of Wheeling Township; and
WHEREAS, the Township Annual Meeting on April 8, 1975 will
commemorate this 125th Anniversary of the formation of the
government of Wheeling Township;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS
Section 1: That the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect extend congratulations and best
wishes to Wheeling Township on the occasion of the 125th
Anniversary of its founding.
