RESOLUTION NO. 10-75
A RESOLUTION HONORING ELK GROVE TOWNSHIP
WHEREAS, in April 1850 the people of Elk Grove Township
joined together to form the first local government in this
Northwest suburban area; and
WHERAS, each year since 1850 a Township Annual Meeting has
been conducted by the citizens of Elk Grove Township; and
WHEREAS, the Township Annual Meeting on April 8, 1975 will
commemorate this 125th Anniversary of the formation of the
government of Elk Grove Township;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS
Section 1: That the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect extend congratulations and best
wishes to Elk Grove Township on the occasion of the 125th
Anniversary of its founding.
