RESOLUTION NO. 17-75
A RESOLUTION DECLARING RESULTS
OF DISCOVERY RECOUNT
WHEREAS, heretofore on April 25, 1975, Norma Murauskis filed with the Village
Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, a Petition to Con-
duct a Discovery Recount of the ballots cast in Precincts Nos. 2, 3, 10, 17, and
19 in the election held in said Village on April 15 , 1975; and
WHEREAS, such Petition alleged that Norma Murauskis was entitled to such re-
count as provided in Section 22-9.1 of the Illinois Election Code as modified by
Section 3- 2- 2 of the Illinois Municipal Code of 1961, as amended; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of said Petition, the Village Clerk notified Edward B .
Rhea, Jr. , the successful candidate for the office of Village Trustee, that such
Petition had been filed and that the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Mount Prospect would convene on this date for the purposes of conducting such
recount; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect
have this date conducted a recount of the ballots cast in the five (5) precincts as
aforesaid;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That having conducted a recount of the ballots cast for the office
of Village Trustee in the election held in the Village of Mount Prospect on April 15,
1975, such recount being done pursuant to a Petition therefor filed with the Village
Clerk by Norma Murauskis in the manner and form required by statute, the Presi-
dent and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect find that the candidates
named below received the number of votes set below their respective names in the
precincts as shown in such election:

SECTION TWO: That the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect is hereby
authorized and directed to insert into the official records of the results of such
election heretofore held on April 15, 1975, a certified copy of this Resolution.
PASSED and APPROVED this 3rd day of May, 1975.
