RESOLUTION NO. 27-75
A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING PERSONS WHO SHALL BE EXEMPT FRCM PAYING FOR
MOUNT PROSPECf IDTOR VEHICLE ~LICENSES
WHEREAS, for many years, it has been the practice of the corporate authorities
of the Village of Momt Prospect to issue Mount Prospect motor vehicle license
stickers or plates to certain persons in recognition of the public service
rendered by them; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Momt Prospect
desire to continue this practice. but to limit it primarily to individuals
associated with the govermnent of the Village of Mount Prospect.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY 1HE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF IDJNI' PROSPECf, ILLINOIS:
SECfION ONE: That members of the Village of Mount Prospect Board of
Firemens' Pension Ftmd, Board of Fire and Police Cammissioners, Board of
Health, Board of Library Directors, Board of Local Improvements, Business
District Development & Redevelopnent Cammission, Board of Police Pension
Ftmd, Des Plaines - Arlington Heights - MOtmt Prospect - Palatine Cammission,
Drainage and Clean Streams Cammission, Electrical Conunission, Finance
Comnission, Insurance Comnission, Planning Conunission, Safety Conunission, and
Community Services and Mental Health Conmission, Disabled Veterans of the Anned
Services of the United States of America, and the MOtmt Prospect Zoning Board
of Appeals shall receive a Momt Prospect motor vehicle license sticker or
plate without payment of the fee therefor established mder Chapter 17 of
the Mtmicipal Code of Momt Prospect of 1957, as amended, subject to the
conditions set forth below in SECTION THREE of this Resolution.
SECTION ThO: That the Village of Mount Prospect, the Mount Prospect Park
District, River Trails Park District, and School Districts 26, 57, S9 and 214,
as well as all other vehicles having State License Plates with the "School
Bus" designation thereon shall be issued Mount Prospect motor vehicle license
sticker or plates for each vehicle owned and operated by such body, provided
such vehicle is registered within the corporate limits of the Village of Mount
Prospect. Upon the receipt of such license for such vehicle by such
governmental agency, no fee as established tmder the aforementioned Chapter 17
shall be paid therefor.
SECfION THREE: That no individual or person shall receive a motor vehicle
license sticker or plate without charge as provided in this Resolution, lIDless
such person resides within the corporate limits of the Village of Mount Prospec t
and the motor vehicle for which the license sticker or plate is issued is
registered within the corporate limits of the 9aid Village. No person shall

by virtue of this Resolution receive more than one such vehicle license
sticker or plate.
SECTION FOUR: That Resolution No. 21-72, and all prior Resolutions of
the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Motmt Prospect conflicting
herewi th, be, and they hereby are, repealed.
SECTION FIVE: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
