D. Request from new owners of Balzano Liquors, 2316 South Elmhurst Road, to continue operating under the existing Class C (Retail Package only) liquor license. E. APPOINTMENTS VIII. X. OLD BUSINESS XI. NEW BUSINESS A. PZ-12-06, 888 East Northwest Highway (Exhibit C) st 1 reading of AN ORDINANCE TO AMENDING ORDINANCE 3797 GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE AND VARIATION FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 888 EAST NORTHWEST HIGHWAY This ordinance amends the language from Special Use to Conditional Use and grants a variation to allow an animal hospital to provide four-off street parking spaces for the subject property. The Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended denial by a vote of 6-0, with one abstention; the ordinance requires a super majority vote for approval. st B. 1 reading of AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN PERSONAL (Exhibit D) PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT This ordinance allows the Village, as a member of the Northwest Municipal Conference, to participate in a public auction of surplus vehicles, at the Mount Prospect Public Works facility, 1700 W. Central Road, on September 23, 2006. XII. VILLAGE MANAGER’S REPORT A. Request to accept bid for repair and sealing of Police and Fire parking garage and deck in an amount not to exceed $171,025. B. Request to accept proposal for Disinfectant By-Products Rule Stage 2 (DPBR/Stage2) Compliance and Hydraulic Water Modeling Project in an amount not to exceed $202,216. * C. Lightning Protection for Police and Fire Building Request approval to enter into a contract for lightning protection services with HLP Systems in an amount not to exceed $16,530. D. Status XIII. LITIGATION 5 ILCS 120/2 (c) (11) - Litigation, when an action against, affecting or on behalf of the particular public body has been filed and is pending before a court or administrative tribunal, or when the public body finds that an action is probable or imminent, in which case the basis for the finding shall be recorded and entered into the minutes of the closed meeting.
