A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING PERSONS WHO SHALL BE.
EXEMPT FROM PAYING FOR MOUNT PROSPECT MOTOR
VEHICLE LICENSES

WHEREAS, fOI' many years t it has been the practice of the corporate authorities of I
the Village of Mount Prospect to issue Mount Prospect motor vehicle license stickers I
or plates to certain persons in recognition of public service rendered by them; and!

SECTION ONE: That members of the Village of Mount Prospect Emergency Services!
Disaster Agency, being a Bureau of the Mount Prospect Fire Department. Board of I
Firemens' Pension Fund; Board of Fire and Police Commissioners. Board of Health; I
Board of Library Directors; Board of Local Improvements; Board of Police Pension I
Fund; Community Services and Mental Health Commission; Des Plaines - Arlington
iHeights - Mount Prospect - Palatine Commission; Disabled Veterans of the Armed I
Iservices of the United States of America, whose motor vehicles bear registration
pl&tes issued pursuant to Section 3-609 of "The Illinois Vehicle Code"; Drainag'e
~nd Clean Streams Commission; Electrical Commission; Finance Commission; In-
~urance Commission; Physically Handicapped Persons, whose motor vehicles bear
registration plates issued pursuant to Section 3-616 of liThe. Illinois Vehicle Code";
Planning Commission; Safety Commission; Volunteer Fire Department; and Zoning i
Board of Appeals shall receive a Mount Prospect motor vehicle sticker or plate with-I
put payment of the fee therefor established under Chapter 17 of the Municipal Code
pf Mount Prospect of 1957 t as amended t subject to the conditions set forth below in
,ECTION THREE of this Resolution.
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect desire
to continue this practice t but to limit it primarily to individuals associated with the
government of the Village of Mount Prospect.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES.
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY t ILLINOIS:
SECTION TWO: That the Village of Mount Prospect t the Mount Prospect Park Dis-
rict, River Trails Park District t and School Districts 26, 57, 59 t and 214, as well
s all other vehicles having Illinois State license plates with the "School Bus" desig-l
ation thereon shall be issued a Mount Prospect motor vehicle license sticker or platei
or each vehicle owned and operated by such body, provided such vehicle is regis- !
ered within the corporate limits of the Village of Mount Prospect. Upon the receipt II
f such license for such vehicle by such governmental agency t no fee as established
nder the aforementioned Chapter 17 shall be paid therefor.

ECTION THREE: That no individual or person shall receive a motor vehicle license
ticker or plate without charge as provided in this Resolution unless such person I
esides within the corporate limits of the Village of Mount Prospect and the motor !

SECTION FOUR: That Resolutions No. 27-75, 28-75, and 6-76 and all prior Resolu-I
tions of the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect conflicting I
herewith be, and they are hereby, repealed. I
SECTION FIVE: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after I
its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
