RESOLUTION NO. 9-77
A RESOLUTION CANVASSING THE VOTES CAST Nr THE
REGULAR MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD APRIL 19, 1977,
AND DECLAHING ;rBE RESULTS THEREOP
WHEREAS, a regular municipal election was held in and for the
Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, on Tuesday,
April 19, 1977, for the purpose of electing a Village President
(for a 4 year term), a Village Clerk (for a 4 year term), three
Village Trustees (for 4 year terms), and two Library Directors
(one for a 1 year term; one for a 6 year term); and
\vHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect have canvassed the votes cast at the said
election and are ready to report herein.
NOW, THEFEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS
SECTION ONE: That said regular municipal election of
April 19, 1977, was duly held as provided by law.
SECTION TvJO: That 9,649 ballots ,"vere cast in the following
manner:

SECTION THREE: (a) That :tnasmuch as Carolyn Krause received

the Office of Village President of the Village of Mount Prospect
cO~uencing May 1, 1977.
(b) That inasmuch as Donald W. Goodman received
the greatest number of votes, he is hereby declared elected to
the Office of Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect
commencing May 1, 1977.
(c) That inasmuch as Leo Floras,
Norma Murauskis, and Errol F. Richardson received the
greatest number of votes, they and each of them are hereby
declared elected to the Office of Trustee of the Village of
Mount Prospect for 4 year termsb commencing May 1, 1977.
(d) That inasmuch as Judy Bennett and
Martha Hopkins received the greatest number of votes, they
and each of them are hereby declared elected to the Office
of Library Director of the Village of Mount Prospect for
6 year terms, commencing May 1, 1977.
(e) That inasmuch as Patricia D. Scola
received the greatest number of votes, she is hereby
declared elected to the Office of Library Director of the
Village of Mount Prospect for a 2 year term, commencing
May 1> 197'7.
(f) That all the foregOing officials so
elected shall qualify in the manner, and time prescribed by
lal'T.
SECTION FOUR: That this Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication
in the manner provided by law.
