RESOLUTION NO. 20-77
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING AN INTENT RELATIVE TO FUNDING
THE ACQUISITION OF CITIZENS UTILITIES COMPANY OF ILLINOIS
SEWER AND WATER SYSTEM
HEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of
ount Prospect may acquire that portion of Citizens Utilities
ompany of Illinois sewer and water system servicing the north-
ast section of the Village of Mount Prospect and environs; and
HEREAS, such acquisition would benefit only those citizens
ho currently receive the services provided by the aforesaid
tility company;
OW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
F THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
ECTION ONE: That, should the Village of Mount Prospect acquire
hat portion of the sewer and water system servicing the north-
ast section of the Village of Mount Prospect and its environs,
hich system is currently owned and operated by Citizens Utilities
ompany of Illinois, such acquisition shall be funded by the
ersons in the area presently receiving the services of Citizens
tilities Company--which funding shall be accomplished by any
easible method as is currently or as may be provided by law.
ECTlON TWO: That this Resolution shall be in full force and
ffect from and after its passage, approval and publication in
he manner provided by law.
