RESOLUTION NO. 30-77
A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF MAINTAINING
ROB ROY GOLF COURSE AS OPEN SPACE
WHEREAS. the Village of Mount Prospect is contiguous to that property known as
the "Rob Roy Golf Course". which property lies north of Euclid Avenue and
Camp McDonald Road between Wheeling Road and Westgate Road (extended); and
WHEREAS. the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect
recognize the need for recreational facilities and open space in this area; and
WHEREAS. the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect believ ~
that the maintenance of the Rob Roy Golf Course as open space is in the best interes s
of the Village of Mount Prospect;
NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT. COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That the Village of Mount Prospect hereby and herewith supports t e
concept that the property commonly known as the "Rob Roy Golf Course" located wit -
in unincorporated Cook County be designated as an open and green space area to
be maintained as a public recreational facility .
SECTION TWO: That the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect be and he
is hereby authorized to forward certified copies of this Resolution to our State
Senators and State Representatives. members of the Cook County Board of Com-
missioners as well as the Cook County Zoning Board of Appeals.
SECTION THREE: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
