RESOLUTION NO.
35-77
A RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION FOR THE SERVICES EXTENDED
BY DAVID L. CREAMER
WHEREAS . DAVID L. CREAMER has faithfully served the Village of
Mount Prospect from September 7, 1953 to October 1, 1977 in the
Public Works Department; and
. WHEREAS, in May, 1965 DAVID L. CREAMER was appointed the first
I Director of Public Works for the Village of Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS , DAVID L. CREAMER has carried out his myriad duties with
great distinction, showing great leadership and innovative
I abilities in water production; water conservation; flood control;
snow-fighting techniques; community beautification, including
the establishment of beauty spots such as Whittenberg Falls,
Klehm Park, and the Senior Center garden; equipment management;
tree planting, care, and elm disease control; preservation of
historical sites and buildings; and force account remodeling of
I Village facilities; and
WHEREAS , DAVID L. CREAMER has submitted his resignation to accept
a similar post in another community;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That official regret be expressed to DAVID L. CREAMER,
together with best wishes for continued success in his chosen field.

I SECTION TWO: That a special Certificate of Merit be presented to
DAVID L. CREAMER together with a copy of this Resolution as
evidence of the high esteem in which he is held by the officials
of the Village of Mount Prospect.
SECTION THREE: That this Resolution shall be in full force and
I effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner
provided by law.
